Portrait Fun

Having portraits shot doesn't have to be dry as burnt toast! "Out-takes from a Marraige", is my submission in a "make me laugh" portrait contest, and the record of a great evening spent with my kids and in-laws shooting portraits. I purposely chose not to retouch "Out-Takes..." so you see the real  moment., warts and all! While it may not be everyone's cup of tea to display every expression on their walls, it is definitely the outtakes that keep the final cut real! It's getting to know your subjects and how they interact and communicate, then giving them a relaxed atmosphere to be themselves to create those moments. The images of my son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy, are a great example and SPOT ON depiction of who they are as a couple, the ultimate goal. At the end of the day, we had beautiful portraits, a blast shooting them and it didn't hurt a bit!
